This summer we’re thrilled to be bringing you a new adaptation of Arnold Bennett’s comic masterpiece, THE CARD.
The story follows the fortunes of loveable rogue Denry Machin, as he makes his way up from humble beginnings to become the most celebrated ‘card’ in the Five Towns.
This fun show will feature a cast of 7 actor musicians, Acceler8 Brass Band, and our amazing community company.

Dates: 29 June – 9 July at 7.30pm
Performances: Matinees: 2 & 9 July at 2.30pm; Twilight perf: Sunday 3 July at 4pm. No performance on the 4 July.
Relaxed performance: 7 July at 1.30pm.
Signed performance: 7 July at 7.30pm

Box Office: Tickets are available online and also in person at The Cafe Fenton, Fenton Town Hall (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 10:30 – 3pm, Sat 10:30 – 2pm).
Running Times:
The Card will run for approximately 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20 minute interval.
Pre-show Dining:
A selection of bowl food will be available from The Cafe Fenton prior to each performance. Pre-show food can be ordered at the same time as ticket purchase. Pre-ordered food will be served prior to each performance, with The Cafe Fenton open an hour and a half before performance start times.
Post-Show Discussion:
A post-show discussion will be held with cast and creatives after the performance on Tuesday 5 July.
Parking:
Free parking is available on Baker Street and Grimson Street which run down either side of the Town Hall. There is also a pay and display car park on Baker Street. Parking is free after 7pm, £2 for all day before that time. As disabled parking is limited, we recommend blue badge holders bring their badges to allow them more flexible parking.
Train/Bus:
The Town Hall is a 5 minute drive/taxi or a 25 minute walk from Stoke-on-Trent train station.

Signed Performance
The performance at 7:30pm on Thursday 7 July will be BSL Signed.
Relaxed Performance
The performance at 1.30pm on Thursday 7 July will be a relaxed performance. There will be an introduction from the cast ahead of the performance, lights won’t be fully dimmed, and people will be able to enter and leave the auditorium freely. Please note, although this is a relaxed performances there will still be a Brass Band element to the production. We will introduce these sounds ahead of the performance, but people for whom sound and loud noise is a trigger might prefer to bring ear defenders.
